5 episodes out of 8 into Terminator Zero, that anime they did on Netflix. Early verdict is that I like some ideas it lays down, but it's pretty stupid. Full review forthcoming on Judgment Day (hahaha). But so for it's falling into a lot of pratfalls that nearly every Terminator sequel lands on. Confusing but also apparently nonsensical. Mercifully there's less references. Only one super obvious one. But yeah really the one it reminds me of the most is Genysys... which I'm sure is what nobody wants to here. But I'll try to finish it with an openish mind.

Clerks 3 Review
SPOILERS
I recently watched Clerks 3 and it's a depressing piece of shit. I didn't watch it when it first came out because I thought the premise was dumb, Dante and Randal are too old to still be working at a convenience store. It's a bit justified since they own the place but it's even worse with Jay and Silent Bob, who are like 50 years old and still dressing and acting like they're in their 20s. Add Clerks 3 to the weird trend of bad sequels that bring back old actors, like the Star Wars sequels, Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull, Terminator Genysis, Ghostbusters Frozen Empire, and so on. Clerks 3 ruins the first two movies. It was a stupid decision to have Becky and her baby die just because the production couldn't afford to pay Rosario Dawson for a full movie. There are plenty of ways to give her a limited role but have her still be alive.
Clerks 2 was Dante and Randal dealing with middle age and accepting what they've made of their lives. Dante gets married and has a baby on the way. But then Clerks 3 makes it so that months later Dante's life is ruined and he spends like 10 years being miserable until he dies.
In the first two movies Randal likes working at Qwik Stop, it was his idea to buy it at the end of Clerks 2, but in this one after his heart attack he regrets his whole life. And then he's left alone at Qwik Stop to linger in his best friend's absence. A Clerks movie is supposed to be a comedy. This had some funny bits but it's mostly depressing. I don't think it should've been made. There are some good dramatic performances by the actors but again the whole thing's not supposed to be a drama. ---
This video by Vee Infuso points out why it's such a bad ending to the Clerks movies but I wanted to add my own thoughts.

Pops, Carl, and Bob
Carl was active for 22 years, Pops was active for 44 years. Twice as long, but Pops' personality is far less developed than Carl's. In TDF, Carl uses tonal inflection, natural facial expressions, and humour very effectively. He has a personality, interests, and free will.
Pops, even after 44 years, feels very similar to an 'early' T-800. One that hasn't been around for long. He uses little tonal inflection, has unnatural facial expressions, and humour comes from him being socially inept rather than him making jokes. He obviously cares about Sarah, and he has a few little personality quirks. He mentions reading "guns and ammo dot com" which could count as a hobby, but could just be research related to his mission.
Now, it might be that Carl had to live 'incognito' for two decades, whereas Pops didn't have to hide the fact that he was a machine from his primary human company. But Pops actually feels even less developed than Bob by the end of T2 (Bob showed curiosity, humour, and natural facial expressions by the end of the movie). Which leads me to wonder if Pops' chip is still in read-only mode.

Dark Fate: who was this movie for?
I’m serious. Who was this movie for because it definitely wasn’t fans of the franchise.
Tumblr media
Now, I’m a firm believer that the movies should have ended after T2. (I’m also a fan of the original, conclusive, end.) it was a contained and personal story that didn’t leave a lot of wiggle room for more movies. Terminator is different in that it had a specific story it wanted to tell and it did in two movies. Unlike alien or other sci-fi horrors which are really body count movies- maximum carnage and the main character lives on for another movie. Terminator was never about the body count/explosions. While I don’t think they should’ve made more movies I do think there was a lot of stories you could pull from the universe. (None of the sequels do it or do it particularly well.)
All of the sequels have something of value , even if they aren’t great movies. There’s always a concept or a bit of lore I really enjoy. At the end of the day they always disappoint because there’s always that spec of good in there. potential they never utilize. But with Dark fate I’m struggling to find that good.
I want to state out of the gate that I’m not doing this review to be “salty” or do anything In bad faith, but purely out of frustration as someone who’s a fan of the franchise. One of the spots the movie suffers in is that, none of its choices feel particularly justified? They have all this happening without a clear reason and it leads to the choice of the main 2 new cast members being women feeling straight out of the “2016 #girlboss all men are evil” era of movies. It feels like Sarah’s “men like you.” Speech. It feels like they’re women because the directors wanted to seem cool or progressive rather than actually having a plan or character in mind. Like a lot of reboots and sequels in the more modern age it feels the need to shit on the original in the most? Bad faith way possible? “In the original she was only there because she’s a mom and helpless woman - that’s so bad we’re cool, we say fuck!” It’s desperate and a really bad take on the original as Sarah was never ‘just the mother of the savior’ and yes? She was helpless… because it’s so expressly clear she’s a regular human being with all of this happening around her and trying to kill her it’s - the first step I character development? Her trauma is what made her into the badass mom in the second film. She was always so much more then “mother Mary” and that line makes me- ick- it’s so out of character I can’t—
It feels like the horrible Hollywood take of “if a woman isn’t perfectly badass and Indestructible from the beginning it’s sexist” this movie acts like it’s revolutionary for a woman to curse.
Why not just make a reboot/ it doesn’t justify itself as a reboot-
So, it’s another attempt at rebooting the franchise after the attempt in 2015. Except that… if you want to reboot why not just make a full on reboot with these new characters this new future etc? They keep Sarah and a T-800 around to basically “remember how good the original timeline was? Sucks it’s gone now” and show off their acting skills (which, I love Linda and Arnie and they preformed great with .. a less then stellar script but they didn’t need a movie to just show off) and keeping character’s from the OG timeline around after being displaced is ripped straight from Genysis besides the fact.
So this new timeline, doesn’t exactly justify itself. What makes Legion , Dani and Grace different? It’s a few name changes and a few tech changes but ultimately the same story except. Dani as Sarah , Grace as Kyle and they’re both John somehow? Dani more clearly as she’s the Ressistance leader and Grace because she’s her adopted kid!
Speaking of which … I never use the word “queerbait” as I’ve yet to watch anything to really do so but this is the dictionary definition. You’d assume they’d be a couple or have some kind of romance since they fill the original roles but it turns out- Dani is the adopted mother of Grace. Which- seeing how many people ship them… are we all ignoring that? Because I’m uncomfortable.
There’s not anything to really make it stand on its own. It’s still- future war, destined leader, must protect them. There’s no major enough difference to say why we need this new cast, new world etc. with genysis- I’ll give it props as there is MAJOR changes to how things go VS the og timeline- like Sarah growing up under a terminator, zombie mind controlled John Connor etc - this one is just “what if girls.” It particularly ercs me because Dani is basically a adult John Connor how he should have always acted. Sweet, caring but takes no shit- has a lot of faith and trust in humanity, has the skills etc … except her speeches aren’t nearly as strong not growing up with Sarah ( “fuck fate” I’m trembling..)
Something I did like-
Quick break of positivity before I go back to , almost ranting about this movie and it’s weird as hell choices. Something I liked in this movie was the Rev 9
Tumblr media
It is a combo of skeleton and liquid metal which can break and fight simultaneously with the same ‘brain’ as well as imitate clothes without stealing them. It is the most human of the terminator’s we seen and has to be the perfect infiltrator. Now the combo isn’t new as the TX had been around, but frankly not as impressive. And see we know the rev 9 is from legion because “black instead of silver metal” oooo. Another shot I LOVE is with the chain, breaking his jaw and how GRACES SKIN LITERALLY RIPS OPEN ?! But they don’t focus on the shot and it’s ?! No! That was good! That was great! Focus on that! What-
Carl was also enjoyable but he will never quite be on the level of Bob or Pops for me. However his intense conversation about room design and the inclusion of a Dyson is 👌
Too much at their hands, they’re a resistance not army-
This is more something that applied to all of the sequels but here especially. It’s a human resistance not the full armed forces! They have… way to much. Way more then they should? In the original it was kinda established to be maybe 40 people and a old jeep it’s not the marines people! Idk they just keep getting more militant and more powerful and more tech ??? Why? How’d they get this stuff the world is 90% rubble. Also billions were whipped out how is there so many of you - certainly not EVERY survivor is fighting. Also a issue with salvation but they really really shouldn’t have any sort of air unit- if your in the air your shot dead in seconds it’s obvious to see you - the whole point is to hide and fight low and I’m- my head hurts. Also ??? A problem with all sequels after T2 but everyone’s making the future way to bright? Seriously why is it like bright white outside. Where’s my dark blues and shadows - not only for aesthetic but smoke, smog, aftermath. There’s no way it could be that bright out.
So the “human with augmentation’s” makes no fucking sense. I’m sorry. Your fighting machines and your first thought to fight back is “let’s put one inside of somebody” ??????? Hello? Not to mention how they make it sound like a established thing but all it is , is a allergic reaction time bomb. “We heard your allergic to Nickel. So we replaced your knees with Nickel” if they last 2-3 hours tops? What is the point. If they run into a problem they’re dead. That’s the worst fucking plan I’ve ever seen in my life. Like half the movie Grace is Nerfed and is more of a hinderance to everyone then a help. 3 people are dying and she has to take her epipen. Girl-
Grace-
Congrats terminator franchise. I’ve never hated a character before in my life but now I hate two (#1 spot will forever be Kate Brewster.) seriously can someone tell me if we’re supposed to LIKE Grace? I’m genuinely asking because she is so despicable the entire movie. The Rev 9 acts more human then her! She’s just a dick. That’s it. That’s her whole character is to yell and growl and scream the whole movie. She’s the best. She’s the smartest. No one else knows anything. How dare you speak in her presence.
She’s not a protector. She’s abusive. I’m almost happy it’s not romance because that’d be so much worse. “Your cannot talk to people who are not me. You cannot have friends. You cannot try to help yourself, your weak. You can’t help anyone. You can’t leave my sight. You can’t move.” That’s not protection that’s ownership. She is so unnecessarily rude to Sarah for no reason. Sarah had long since proved herself trustable, had explained herself SEVERAL times- she’s from a timeline that never happened (in this world) she’s lost, bitter and mourning a world she’s starting to forget. She knows how much this sucks and is a comfort to Dani and Grace loses her absolute shit on this woman because how dare Dani talk to or take comfort in anyone but her.
It’s to the point she is so rude that any time there’s a point we’re supposed to sympathize? I can’t. She’s your mother figure? Not a remote excuse to act how you do. You realize that there helping right? Maybe they’re trying to do a War ruined person take- but they’re doing PTSD extremely poorly compared to the great examples we already get in the franchise? Kyle Reese and Sarah Connor. We see them at their lowest, we see them scream and bark and freak out but we also see the soft. We see the calm, we see the kindness and humanity at the center of their being. They’re actually characters- there’s nuance! Grace is just - we see two flashbacks and they expect us to forgive and forget her behavior in the entire fucking movie. She learns nothing. She doesn’t change or grow or - it’s frustrating.
Sarah-
Tumblr media
This is getting long so I’m going to keep it brief. While I love her performance, I feel like there was some serious character assassination? Not only making her do the “mother Mary” talk but also the fact that this woman would never forget John if you killed her. While it is a powerful angst filled moment and I can love it for that- it’s both out of character and outright untrue. John had a entire box filled with photos she took and sent to him, some of him too. And even if not- his foster parents had photos, the news had photos etc - her never taking a photo is a lie and it’s frustrating. But I like that she gets to connect with Dani? She’s seen herself in the same situation and to quote “it SUCKS” she’s a tough love mother figure and it’s nice to see her like that again? Even if the movie treats her like dirt.
Ps- shouldn’t have killed John Connor for multiple reasons but especially since it was unjustified in the timeline it created and LITERALLY MADE THE ORIGINAL TWO MOVIES POINTLESS along side Sarah and Carl - also because he’s my boy… it’s personal.

How you gonna call Amber Heard a bad actress...which I agree she is...and then say that Emilia Clarke should take over her role? Clarke is just as bad as Heard is!
I mean I won't argue that she reaally sucked for most seasons of got but I do feel like there was an improvement in her performance in the last season and I disagree that she's just as bad as Heard, Heard is absolutely worse than her. And Heard has set the bar is SO low rn that anyone would be better than her. Like at the very least EC has the dignity where I can believe that's the future queen of Atlantis vs scamber who is trash and has zero class.
Additionally I think EC does a lot better when she has screen chemistry with actors, even in earlier got seasons, she was way less wooden and deadeyed with actors like Iain Glen and even Michiel Huisman than she was with Kit Harrington and her screen chemistry with Jason Momoa (and Jason Momoa being Jason Momoa) was the *only* reason that Drogo was a hugely popular ship w/ her bc that relationship was uhh...not good otherwise.
Ideally I want the greatest actress they can find to be Mera even someone totally unknown, but Warner Bros are 🤑🤑🤑 and she still has a huge fanbase that'd watch it like, just for her. And like I say this as someone who was not crazy about her got performances and terminator genysis robbed 10 years of my life and was still more responsible for murdering that franchise than dark fate but I still think she has the capacity to be a good Mera esp since it would be opposite someone she has chemistry with.

Terminator Dark Fate Review (spoilers!!)
I really liked it!!!
So I want to see Terminator Dark Fate last night and yeah, that was a good time and a half!! Seriously, I’m a huge Terminator fan: T2 is in my opinion one of the greatest movies in the last 30 years, and I’ve been waiting to see if anything the franchise did after could capture any of that lightening in a bottle again.
I can’t say this one does that, but I’d solidly argue it comes the closest. I’ll come right out and say it: I think killing John Conner was the right narrative move for the franchise to move forward. And I like John Conner a lot! But we’ve seen so many different iterations of him and his story: T3’s adult John before the apocalypse becoming a saviour, Salvation’s John in the apocalypse (becoming a legend), and Genysis’ John as a legend in the future and then as a villain. It honestly felt like they explored most of the possible outcomes for John and the mythos of him as the resistance leader against Skynet that if they wanted to go forward they were going to have to shake it up.
And they did, though in a very Force Awakens way: which isn’t bad!!! Now we have Dani as the saviour who needs to be protected, Sarah as what she always was (the mentor/mother of the saviour), Grace as the Kyle Reese “doomed to die for love sent back in time protector” and just for fun, Carl, the good Terminator and drape enthusiast 😉 I thought Dani worked really well as a character: I can’t say I was surprised by the reveal she was the saviour and not her future child (I mean come one we knew that), but I really liked the changed and I liked how we got to see how she evolved into that person young Grace met, and how it was an extension of her character from the beginning.
Grace was also great: Mackenzie Davis is a fantastic actress, and I really liked that her “enhanced Terminator hybrid” version included a stated and followed through weakness (short bursts of power followed by a crash). It gave her a nice contrast in fights and action lore to Arnie’s Terminator, and it really worked for me. I also really like the cyclical nature of her and Dani: I was here for the tragic and somewhat sinister story of John and Kyle, of becoming friends but of John always knowing that friendship was going to end in Kyle’s death, and that he’d perhaps feed his interest in Sarah just for that purpose (love me some sentimental ruthlessness). And I liked that Grace and Dani had that, but in reverse somewhat; that Grace knew she wouldn’t be coming back, and had agency in her decision to get enhanced and go back and die for Dani and the future she believed in.
As for Carl, your friendly old man Terminator: this is going to be controversial but I liked him ... but I liked his Genysis version more. Which I get it, that movie wasn’t good (though I’ll argue for hours it had value and also I like it?) but I mostly liked how that movie really focused on his relationship with Sarah, how that had evolved his humanity, and his antagonism with Kyle was hilarious. I did like that he basically had to develop an new purpose on his own, and making him a basically an “asexual father and husband” and having him live a real life was a really nice way to have him have agency. I just found his Genysis version funnier and more poignant, but that definitely isn’t to say this was bad!
And finally, last and best, Sarah MOTHERFUCKING Conner 🤩 Look T2 Sarah Conner will go down as the baddest bitch who ever lived, but Dark Fate Sarah Conner comes a close second. This really was a movie about Sarah Conner, and I was here for it: I loved seeing her allowed to be older, and grey haired and still badass. There was real weight in her realizing that her son had died and they’d stopped Skynet but that the future is still doomed, and choosing to help shape Dani into the leader John never needed/got to be. I thought her evolution of her feelings toward Carl was really well done, and her interplay with Dani felt really natural. Sarah Conner was always more than just “the womb that birthed the leader of the rebellion,” she was the true “mother of the rebellion” irregardless of her son, and this movie really lets her have this legacy and still be the one who gets to shape and train Dani to save the world.
Overall, I really liked it! Is it as good as T2, or even T1? No. But I think it’s a solid sequel to those that honours their story but also branches off and lets a new story grow organically, and I’m totally here for that!
(Also if anyone is curious, my Terminator ranking is: T2, Terminator, Dark Fate, Genysis (fight me), T3, and Salvation).

Thoughts of the Droid: Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)
Hello, people of Tumblr! How was your week? As always, I hope very well. People, this time I bring to you all my review and opinions about the new installment of the T-800 franchise: Terminator: Dark Fate. A film that has raised some controversy.
And it is not for less, since Terminator is one of the most beloved sagas within science fiction. Curiously, even after 35 years, the general public and especially fans of the saga, only love the first two deliveries; the remaining four, including Dark Fate, have them in very low esteem. Being honest with you, almost a week after its release, it was very frequent to see my YouTube recommendations critical of this movie, all of them very destructive, stating that Dark Fate was the worst film in the Terminator saga. Well, your favorite friend and reviewer Rankakiu has already seen that movie. Is it really a disaster? Or are we facing a misunderstood masterpiece? Well, let's go to the review to find out.
WARNING: NOT SPOILER FREE. Read at your own risk
Starting with the review, what did I think of the movie? Short answer: it is a passable movie and you can have a fun time watching it. But nothing else. Now let's go into details.
Characters: Without a doubt it is very pleasant to have back actor Arnold Schwarzenegger and actress Linda Hamilton playing their iconic roles of the T-800 and Sarah Connor, respectively. And although Hamilton had a long time not to return to her character, that does not affect at all, since she has shown not only her acting quality by reincarnating a warrior woman like Sarah Connor, but also demonstrates that she was born for that role. At no time in the movie did Hamilton's performance seem indifferent, but quite the opposite, since at all times she felt like Sarah Connor. With a reborn resentment towards machines and a more experienced soldier, but still Sarah Connor despite everything.
The same goes for the good Arnold Schwarzenegger, although in his case it is already easier for him to play the T-800 again, since he has participated in almost all the films. Even with that, like Hamilton, Schwarzenegger was born for the role of the 101 model of Cyberdine systems. Apart from the above, the film is responsible for humanizing the T-800 and thereby answering the question of whether a machine can develop attachment and affection towards humans.
Certainly previous films like Terminator 2: Judgment Day and Terminator: Genysis had already answered that question; however, in Terminator: Dark Fate, it gives another approach, differentiating itself from the aforementioned films and I liked that a lot. Both actors make the film much more accessible to watch and make the experience much more pleasing to me.
On the other characters, the truth be told, they are not (that) badly written. Of course, I feel they need that little spark called charisma to become characters that were much more memorable. One of the most rescued new characters, in my very personal opinion, is the character of Grace, played by actress Mackenzie Davis, who, in my opinion, did a good job of playing a warrior woman, enhanced with cyber technology, turning it into a kind of cyborg. You could say that his role represents a bit what was the character of Kyle Reese from the first Terminator movie, being a soldier with the mission to protect Dani Ramos. Something also to highlight, are the moments of action of the character, where we can see her fight hand in hand with a Terminator, being almost at the same level.
Grace clearly possesses reflexes, speed and strength well above a common human; However, this power can only be used in a short time and requires a special serum to keep her cyborg body functioning properly. That little detail pleased me a lot, since you have a lethal soldier, but not with too much exaggerated power, and besides, these restrictions of power are well founded within the story. While Grace doesn't leave the conventional clichés of being a strong woman and a war-hardened soldier, at least Davis's interpretation pleased me quite a bit, building a pretty decent character. If they really gave her a better-worked script, I'm sure Davis can surprise us.
On the other hand, we have actress Natalia Reyes, playing the character of Daniella "Dani" Ramos. Interestingly, in this character we see a kind of amalgam, a story that combines the situations experienced by the characters of Sarah Connor and John Connor. Dani's life, so normal and common, suddenly changes radically and without the possibility of returning to her previous way of life, when an artificial intelligence sends a machine to exterminate her (representing Sarah from Terminator). As soon as she knows the destiny that awaits her, she has no choice but to fight and accept her destiny as a protector and leader of humanity against the machines (adopting the role of the various incarnations of John Connor).
In my opinion she is a decent character and some may consider that her evolution as a character happens too quickly, but in my case, I think that is justified, since Dani Ramos is in the situation that she has to mature quickly and become a warrior, or else her death will be insured. If you ask me, Natalia did a good job, but unfortunately her character has a somewhat annoying approach, being more the fault of the script than anything else.
Of course, I cannot finish this point without mentioning the antagonist: the Terminator Rev-9, a model created by artificial intelligence called "Legion", which has created one of the most advanced terminator models ever seen. It has similar properties to other terminators seen above, particularly the T-1000 and the T-X (Terminatrix), only here it proves to be much more advanced than the mentioned models.
If there is something that has characterized the Terminator franchise, it is without a doubt, the creativity that they put on the various models, each with amazing capabilities that more than one military contractor would like to see in reality. And the Rev-9 is no exception. I certainly liked that ability that has to be divided into two completely autonomous machines, since with that ability, it can attack the same target from two flanks, or it can attack different targets at once.
It also highlights the enormous ease that Rev-9 has of hacking systems, computers and unmanned vehicles to search for and eliminate targets, as well as being able to infiltrate with great ease and above all to replicate a complex range of human emotions, in order to go unnoticed. A highly lethal machine that should not be underestimated and whose antagonism in the film pleased me quite a bit. Maybe not at the level of the legendary T-1000, starring Robert Patrick. But at least the interpretation of Gabriel Luna does not go unnoticed.
Story: Well, where to start? If you ask me, the story presented in this movie is something like a double-edged sword. On the one hand, the story of how Grace and Rev-9 travel to the past to look for Dani Ramos and the last one seeing how her life changes dramatically, to later accept her destiny, results in a fairly decent story in my opinion. The problem is that history has certain interesting ideas, but in the end it does not know how to develop any in a satisfactory way. Certainly, I think they made the same mistake as Terminator: Genysis, basically leaving a lot of doubts and confusion in the viewer.
I think one of the biggest mistakes in the movie was precisely to eliminate John Connor, to be replaced by Dani Ramos. Look, I'm not against a woman leading an army of humans against the machines, but you have to keep in mind that in the previous five films, John Connor was always established as the leader of the resistance; That, coupled with the fact that it is a very abrupt change and without argumental justification, is not difficult to understand why many did not like this change at all.
In a personal opinion, I think it would have been better if they kept John Connor alive and at the same time, to interact with Dani Ramos, so that both of them would end up becoming the resistance leaders. Or, that John Connor died in adulthood, in the middle of the battle and that before he died, it was he himself who designated Dani Ramos as his successor in the resistance.
Certain doubts also arise as the plot develops. As for example: which of the two artificial intelligences sent all those terminators that ended up destroyed by Sarah Connor? If it was Skynet, it makes no sense, since in the end it did its job of killing John Connor. If it was Legion, why so far did it occur to send a Rev-9 to exterminate Dani Ramos? And since we're in those, how is it possible that the T-800, the one who killed John, knew exactly when a Terminator arrived? And how did Legion artificial intelligence originate? Grace explains how her world ended up destroyed by Legion, but never explains how it becomes an menace, if it was an artificial intelligence that acquired its own consciousness, or a kind of virus that altered it computer structure, something that explains Legion's origin.
In this regard, one might also ask, if the events that prevented the emergence of Skynet in Terminator 2, altered the original timeline. In any case, it must be stinking that no matter what Sarah Connor does, there will always be an artificial intelligence that will seek to destroy humanity.
Another mistake made by the film at the level of story is precisely to tell the same story that we have seen throughout the franchise: an artificial intelligence sends a machine to eliminate the future leader of humanity. The resistance, meanwhile, sends a soldier capable of fulfilling the mission and having a link with that leader. After a series of battles, they defeat the evil machine, while the person destined to lead mankind becomes aware of the role he will have in the future.
Although as I said, the story that tells the growth of Dani Ramos, is not bad and in fact, the character reaches its culminating evolution in the battle at the hydroelectric dam, where our heroes join with everything to end the Rev-9 , being one of the most exciting and successful sequences of the film.
Visuals & special effects: Without a doubt the best of the film. And it is really amazing that they could rejuvenate the characters of Sarah Connor, the T-800 and especially the character of John Connor. Similarly, the special effects are fascinating when it comes to showing the Rev-9 model in all its splendor, particularly where the Rev-9 shows its liquid metal state, much like a kind of live pitch, whether for regenerate or to divide into two combat units, or to create white weapons. The effects also stand out in themselves, by showing the conflict between the human race and Legion artificial intelligence, where you can see Terminators units, similar to the Rev-9 mentioned, only that they have more beastly forms and are more implacable. Similarly, the atmospheres about a destroyed world have that perfect apocalyptic atmosphere, a practically unrecognizable world, where humanity has to fight day by day against mechanical beings, ultimately lethal.
Action: Another remarkable aspect and also the best that the film offers. For example, the fight between Grace and the Rev-9 at the car plant is a good-to-face choreographed melee battle, enough to make it a memorable battle. It is an intense combat, full of strength and speed, where both fighters use their skills to end their adversary. I also highlight another scene, being this, the final battle in the hydroelectric dam, where our protagonists come together to definitively end the Rev-9, being really a scene of thrilling action, full of adrenaline at every moment. And while I recognize that there are unlikely action scenes, at least they are quite acceptable, since these are not very exaggerated. At least, in my opinion, it is worth watching the movie for the action scenes. In conclusion, Terminator: Dark Fate, is a film that will not be a masterpiece, but neither is it a horrible product. At most, it is a passable movie that can take your boredom away. However, being a product that conforms to more of the same, telling you the same story over and over again will undoubtedly become something totally dispensable. You watch the movie, nothing happens. You don't watch the movie, anyway, you don't miss much. Therefore, I give this movie 2.5 of 5 Revs-9. Sadly and ironically, Terminator: Dark Fate is waiting for a dark destiny: to be placed next to its three predecessors in the vault of oblivion.
Greetings

Grrrr
I’m low key mad at Terminator Genysis for using up the line “I’m more” in reference to human machine hybrids because I always find Grace’s “I’m enhanced/I’m augmented” so clunky in terms of syntax but like, you can’t give her the same line as the bad guy from the last film
Edit: okay if I write a fic it’s going to be with the disclaimer that genysis didn’t happen (which I think is canon for DF anyways) because I want to play with that line

How would you rate each dmc & bayonetta game out of 10 & what's your favourite weapon & gun from each entry ?
Oh my…..
Well, I don’t really rate gamesnowadays (like on a scale of 1 to 10) because there’s too manyfactors involved to hammer it down to a number that makes it “good”or “bad”. For me, it boils down to “Do I enjoy playing itmultiple times?” or “Is it a one-and-done deal?” I’m prettylenient when it comes to video games because they offer so much interms of variety, so I’ll go from least played to most.
DmC: Devil May Cry
Tumblr media
There’s a reason why re-making thingsin a “new and edgy light” can miss the charm of the original ifit’s just for a cash grab. The new Tron, Terminator Genisys, TotalRecall (2012), etc, probably would have been fine on their own if thefranchise name wasn’t attached to it (I’m still upset with Genysis). In DmC’s case the same pretty much goes; the game had issues fromits inception to its ending. Well, they all do but this one takes thecake for me.
I played vanilla DmC where the angelweapon broke angel guards/shields and the axe broke demonsguards/shields, like wayyyyy when it first came out with thoseawesome glitches. Color coded enemies can be a drag if not done properly. Didn’t bother with the DLC and I couldn’t care lessabout playing it again with the patch. Like the time had passed forthat and I moved on. It’s not the worst game in the world, but Ididn’t invest in it. Capcom was going through some type of mid-life crisis at that time because Lost Planet 3 and Operation Raccon City fell hella flat with me too.  Only thing I really liked from that game was thedreamrunner enemy.
Now for everything else I still play tothis day :D
Devil May Cry
I played the series all out of order(PS2 OG DMC3, then DMC2, then DMC4, then the HD collection) but I hold almost all pieces of the series (save for the artbook and novels but I have them scanned and saved so…)
DMC’s atmosphere, the music, theweapons…I could see why people fell in love with the OG title.Don’t know about anyone else, but the Nobody enemy was the most funyet frustrating enemy I’ve come across yet. Ifrit stole my heart assoon as I put those guantlets on and I haven’t looked back. The lastboss battle made me want to break my controller though; Mundus islike….a colossal asshole.
Tumblr media
P.S. I don’t know why they never usedDante’s dragon release in other games. Actually, why doesn’t he everuse Sparda’s sword anymore?
Tumblr media
Completely unrelated…(maybe), but isthat why Vergil has a dragon emblem on Yamato? Dante releases adragon on Mundus? But where does the DMC dragon mythos come from ifSparda looks like a cockroach???
Devil May Cry 2
I’m pretty sure you’ve heard everynegative thing about DMC2, but the bloody palace and Lucia’s playstyle has me playing the game more often than not. To get anychallenge out of it, playing on a higher difficulty does help itresemble a video game…somewhat…when you’re not running around thebig empty spaces. Those Blood Goats are broken from an enemystandpoint. Firing those lasers every 2.5 seconds on hard mode isvery shitty to me. For weapon choices, it’s between Vendetta andZambak. Both requires the enemies to get a bit close and they dealheavy damage.
The only “decent” enemy in thisgame is Bolverk.
Tumblr media
Devil May Cry 4
Favorite Dante. That sexy, rugged SexGod. Love how it took a step into “realism” while still keepingto the series gothic setting. I was disappointed that there’s wasn’tmore Dante, and playing the same missions over backwards was abummer, and Pandora not having more abilities…along with Mission19…and the Faults…and not seeing Credo do battle in humanform…plus no doppelganger style. But the gameplay more than makesup for that, with Dante and Nero having different fighting styles. Ihope they bring dreadnaught back for DMC5.
Gotta say that torturing demons issuper fun with Lucifer. Popping one in them, waiting, then watchingthem fly into the air, then repeating the process over again hasbecome very satisfying.

Devil May Cry 3/Special Edition
I remember fondly how enamored I amwith this game (still to this day). This game is the gateway that introducedme to Afro Samurai, Samurai Champloo, Soul Eater, Vampire Hunter D,etc. Again, the gothic music, the sound effects, the music, theenemies, the weapon variety, the styles, and the story packagestogether like a warm blanket on a cold day. The story, while minimal, carries such weight and depth as it progresses that it had me rootingfor the …is villain the right word to use for Vergil or is hegravely misunderstood? I mean, he killed a shit ton of peopleerecting that tower…like hundreds of thousands if not millions :/.Then on the flip side (I think), we get a glimpse into hisovercompensating issues….and I’m putting that mildly.
More than a few times I was ready toput down the controller because he kept killing me with that finalbattle. And after dying for like the 10th time in a row, Ithought I was going to bask in victory after defeating Vergil.
Nope.
That shit hit me in the heart. Veryrarely does a game make me do that. So this one will stick with meforever.
Smacking everything around with Cerberus isalways a bonus.
Tumblr media
Bayonetta
There has never been a game that makesme feel like I can go up to a crocodile and do pirouette turns on itsballs. Sexy, confident, strong, badass, torture attacks, sassy, infernal summons, stylish outfits, fierce accessories…she has itall. Jeanne too. I find myself returning to this game and startingover from the beginning because I love it so damn much. The catchy ,upbeat music goes well when the action is heavy, and the melodictunes when you’re simply traveling leaves a desiring for more. Ihaven’t played the 2nd one yet, but I gotta make an effort to buy aWii-whatever so I can play it.
There’s so much grace in her torture attacks :D. Ooh I lovethem! And Bazillions’ stopping power has a special place in my heart.

I've found the VNAs a bit of a mixed bag, but I've also loved all the ones I've read so far too (Cat's Cradle: Time's Crucible, Human Nature, Christmas on a Rational Planet, and Lungbarrow respectively).
Fair enough, I think I'd be the same if I read the really hated ones like Timewyrm Genysys or The Pit. But I think from what I gather (and what I've seen) the good far outweighs the bad.

Three angels and Arnie
Actually Arni shouldn't age since Terminator Genisys, because then he got the upgrade and is a T1000, which means it is made of liquid metal and that on the outside. Except, of course, Genysis, is again ignored, as in us national franchise. I'll write to the Snychronkartei later and ask who synchronized the trailer. Unfortunately, the entries for trailers do not take over on their side. But the two "new" main terminators are pretty colorless. "A risky and risky solution," said the New York Times in mid-January. Three battery storage units are currently being installed.
Tumblr media
Out of office since 2011, he could once again devote himself to filming or fitness, especially since the democratic governor Jerry Brown passed a successor law in 2015, which sets the strategic goal of producing half of the electricity from renewable sources by 2030. California already generates 27 percent of its electricity from renewable energy. The goal is 50 percent, although, unlike Switzerland, there is almost no hydropower. The largest US state is now testing large battery storage systems.
Current reports
And there are also far worse animations and after the really bad last part (the scenes that played in the 80s were great, then it went downhill) definitely not as bad as expected. Could be something else. But Trump not only confuses the geography, but also the classification of the hurricane in category five. At a meeting with representatives of the National Coordination Center for Disaster Relief (FEMA), Trump was said to have been surprised that there was a category five at all. Initially, he only played a "very fast round" on one of his courses, which also made the golf trip "very cheap" - for him and the US taxpayer.
Edit source]] Distribution worldwide and in Germany
A trailer does not always say everything and whoever wants to know it goes to the cinema or leaves it alone. In addition, everyone has a different taste. I didn't like the 3rd and 4th and found the 5th really great - everyone thinks differently. The US president regularly spreads racist clichés and sometimes shows solidarity with neo-Nazis. Apologizing for that is further than ever for the US President. Trump's timing for inviting Afghanistan's former rulers could hardly have been more absurd. Trump wanted to meet the Taliban three days before the 11th

Terminator Dark Fate
Or as the reviews are calling it, “Well, it’s better than Terminator Genysis, but it’s still bad.”
Confirming that Rise of the Machines and Salvation are better than Dark Fate.

Linda Hamilton Looks Bad-Ass In ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ But That Might Be It [CinemaCon]
LAS VEGAS – Are you ready for yet another “Terminator” movie? Just four years after “Terminator: Genysis” and 10 years after “Terminator Salvation” Paramount Pictures and Skydance have brought the whole gang back together for “Terminator: Dark Fate.” Directed by Tim Miller (“Deadpool“) and produced by franchise creator James Cameron, the new installment was one of the centerpieces of Paramount’s presentation at CinemaCon on Thursday.

That’s kind of what trailers are for, you watch them to get early opinions on the movie based on the snippets you see.
So yeah, it looks like shit. Bad enough they think getting Arnold back (because that totally made Genysis a great movie) along with Linda Hamilton AND James Cameron will somehow make the movie good.
Bad enough they rebooted the franchise, AGAIN, to ignore all the “bad” sequels but then steals ideas from all of said bad sequels.
Human terminator hybrid, seen it, but I guess since it’s a woman now it’s revolutionary. Old Arnold Terminator, seen it. Super advanced enemy Terminator that makes the “hero” Terminator outdated, seen it, 4 times now. But if we rehash the same ideas, both good and bad but now with women, the good ideas will be better and the bad ideas will be good.
The first Terminator movie is about a woman being hunted down and repeatedly brutalized by a terminator who looks like the male physical ideal but SURE Terminator movies JUST got political with Dark Fate.
